I shot my first fashion event "Clash Couture: A Live Fashion Show behind the Runway." It was such a good experience && totally worth it. The networking was amazing. I met a lot of hair and make-up artist that wanted to work together :D thats good on my behalf for my London portfolio. I have less than a month till I show my portfolio in New York && I can't wait for that acceptance letter in the mail :D
Im more than confident that in a year I will be sitting underneath the London skies finally reunited with my heart :D

How do you define yourself as a photographer?
I have been reading The Photography Reader by Liz Wells and have had time to think about what defines a photograph && what defines a photographer. I highly recommend reading this book if you are passionate about photography. Although at time it is hard to take it all in, its a insightful read.
As a photographer who is used to shooting in a very controlled && fashionable method, I have had this desire to step out of my normal box && explore more with other genres of photography. In these images, I used two different cameras; diana f+ and super-sampler.
I also used a method called cross-processing film. (google it)
I highly recommend trying it if you haven't :D

finally working on my final portfolio concept to show to the London school of Fashion when I got to NYC in August. It is the beginning of concept development :D

Alternative

Although I have become addicted to working my way into the fashion industry. I have found alternative processing with film to be a complete fascination! I find so much tranquility in being in the darkroom. It brings me this sort inner zen. Something about the darkroom is a feeling i can't describe. The whole process just seems to be so calming && helps me forget about everything outside of the little black room with red lights.
